LHS football has beaten Pinkerton in four of their last six matchups, those two losses being the past two years. It is safe to say that Londonderry is looking to bounce back.

For a lot of players, like senior Matt Wolf, this Mack Plaque game is their last chance to secure a win against Pinkerton. The team hopes to put their best foot forward and bring home another point for Londonderry.

We have practiced really hard this week in order to get ready,” Wolf said. “They are a good team and we will need to play our best.”

Pinkerton’s football team is strong, but Londonderry’s is too. The outcome of this game will depend on the energy and intensity on the field. In order to have this confidence, the team is looking at this game as if it were any other.

“There really isn’t extra motivation,” Wolf said. “We just need to treat it like week four. It’s just another football game.”

The team is also very hopeful that Lancer Nation will show up and bring the same energy they put out on the field.

“The crowd makes this game different,” Wolf said. “This is the most people we play in front of all year.”

When asked about their chances of winning, Wolf had some opinions on what needs to be done well and what needs to be improved on.

“I am confident about our chances,” Wolf said. “We need to play hard and smart. We can’t turn the ball over and commit penalties which have cost us previously.”

With hard work, focus, and the support of the fans, the team is determined to sink the Pink.
