Mack Plaque: Boys soccer prepares for their rivals

Categories:

As the school year kicks off, so do fall sports. With that, comes the week everyone has been looking forward to: Mack Plaque.

Boys soccer has had some hard-fought games heading into week four of their regular season. They have had wins against tough opponents as well as a few battles they fell just short of. Senior captain Caden Jordan and his team now have their eyes set on Pinkerton.

“This game is going to show that we are a very talented team,” Jordan said, “and we have the ability to play to high standards.”

Jordan and his team are doing what it takes to be ready for gametime come Saturday, doing the extra work that will set them apart from their opponents.

Caden Jordan sends a pass to a teammate in Londonderry’s season opener against Goffstown.

“We are practicing every day up until the game,” Jordan said. “We are making sure to eat right and be healthy.”

The preparation and focus will help the team as they approach playoffs later in the season. Along with that, the “hype” around the game and the atmosphere will be similar to that of a playoff game.

“Playing in front of a large amount of people will give us the playoff vibe,” Jordan said. “We need to get used to it.”

As the game approaches, the team has become more and more ready for the Astros.

“We feel confident,” Jordan said. “We had all week off from games, so we have been practicing everyday to keep getting better.”
