I can blatantly say that Maroon 5’s “Love is Like” tour was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. The crowd was warmly welcomed to the TD Garden arena by opener Claire Rosinkranz, a Gen-Z alternative pop singer who is known for her hit song “Backyard Boy,” while Maroon 5 is an established pop-rock band, led by Adam Levine. Once the opener left the stage, the audience waited eagerly for the first sight of Levine and the rest of Maroon 5.
The nearly two hour show brought nostalgia, and all the sections were filled with singing and dancing. In a way, I could almost feel the excitement and joy radiating off of the other attendees.
Maroon 5 has always been one of my favorite bands, so having the chance to see them live was such a magical experience. The band delivered an absolutely electric performance with a mix of their old hits and some songs from their new album, “Love Is Like.”
Adam Levine’s voice is like butter. It resonated through the crowd, leaving me with goosebumps as I listened to “She Will Be Loved” and “Sunday Morning,” both from the “Songs About Jane” album. Songs from the albums, “JORDI,” “V” and “Overexposed” were also played throughout the concert, showing all of the eras of the band.
“Love and loss” and being “grateful for fans” are two phrases that Levine often shares throughout the performance. Levine expressed Maroon 5’s personal emotions during the concert, which led to me feeling very moved throughout their performance.
Maroon 5’s top hits leave the audience feeling connected to the band through their emotions. Scream-singing all of my favorite songs from my childhood automatically brought me back to singing in the car with my family, reminding me of special moments that I am often too busy to stop and think about.
Senior Gabriella “Ella” Ashkenazy shared that, even after seeing Maroon 5 a handful of times, she would not trade it for the world.
“I loved how energetic everyone was and it was great to see a bunch of people around me enjoying the music and being super excited,” Ashkenazy said. “Overall it was so much fun. This is my third Maroon 5 concert I’ve been to and they never fail to disappoint.”
If you have been a Maroon 5 fan from the start, or are just recently getting into their music, this band has proved that, even after 30 years, they still know how to put on an unforgettable performance.
By the end of the show, guests were singing and smiling, and I have no doubt that some were already counting down the days until they could visit TD Garden again.
