Cava says that “I’m so excited to get involved in how supportive Lancers are of each other in and out of the classroom.”

Jaimee Cava, English

Londonderry High School’s English Department is proud and excited to announce one of their new teachers this year— Ms. Jaimee Cava. Currently, Cava is working with the freshman and sophmores, as she loves to help out with the transition period from middle to high school. Cava, a former student at LHS, has always had a passion for English.

“I pretty much always wanted to be a teacher, but it definitely solidified as I got older,” Cava said. “I wasn’t set on English until I became an editor for the school paper and realized I really enjoyed helping other journalism students with their articles.”

When an English teacher position opened up here at LHS, Cava jumped at the opportunity. Spending the first three years of her career teaching over at Alvirne High School, Cava is excited to embrace her Lancer roots once again.

“I love what this school community is all about,” Cava said. “I experienced it when I was a student here, and I know the camaraderie has only gotten stronger since then.”

The camaraderie and community that fills the halls of LHS spreads farther than the classroom. Cava said she’s excited for the pep rallies and their energy just as much as she is for the rest of the regular school year.

“I’m so excited to get involved in how supportive Lancers are of each other in and out of the classroom,” Cava said.

When not in the classroom, Cava enjoys multiple activities. Whether it’s playing soccer with her friends, being at the beach, or patiently waiting for the right snowfall to go snowboarding.

“I also really enjoy travelling and am currently planning a trip to Europe for a few weeks next summer,” Cava said.

Being at LHS, Cava looks forward to getting to know her students and colleagues. She aims to get involved in as much as she can with the after school activities.

“Everything is more fun once we’re well into the school year and we get comfortable!” Cava said. “Being new to a school can be tough for teachers too if we don’t find time to get out of our classrooms.”

There are plenty of things Cava hopes her students to achieve and understand this year, and she cannot wait to get started working with her students.

“I want my students to know that we’re working to meet each other halfway to have an awesome school year,” Cava said. “We’re all in this together.”
