Drip Academy revived, Ep.1: Senior Anthony Amaro talks sports
After a three- year hiatus, Lancer Spirit’s infamous podcast, The Drip Academy, makes an epic return with new hosts.

Drip Academy was originally created in March of 2019 by 2020 graduates, Tyler Kayo, Jack Kelley, and Class of 2021 grad Jackie Wolthers. Now, the podcast is revived with hosts, seniors Nick Hamel, also known as ‘Cousin Nicky,’ and Megan Standifer, also known as ‘Megan Standiffer.’
The first episode of the renewed show is sports galore. Hamel and Standifer talk with senior Anthony Amaro about his extensive football, track, golf, and rec basketball career.
Senior Megan Standifer has been on staff since 2020, starting as a reporter, then Fashion Editor during the 2021-2022 school year, and now Assistant Editor in Chief as well as Magazine Chief. Standifer is accredited with bringing fashion feature stories back to The Lancer Spirit, with her creation, 'Fashion Friday.' When Standifer isn't carefully critiquing the fashion industry, or speaking on insightful podcasts, she enjoys playing volleyball, snowboarding, and sitting bench on the girl's track...
This is Nick's first year on The Lancer Spirit staff. In addition to making bank, Nick enjoys golfing and playing basketball for the Wizahds.
