The Veteran’s Breakfast is back after a two-year hiatus and will be hosted by LHS’s Pay it Forward club.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions, the annual Veterans Breakfast hosted by LHS is officially back.

The breakfast will take place on Saturday, November 5 in the LHS Cafeteria.

House Four Assistant Principal and Pay it Forward advisor, Katie Sullivan, is leading the effort in reviving this event.

In past years, gift baskets were donated by various clubs and organizations to give to the attendees of the event. This year however, a gift raffle will take place instead. Each gift card in the raffle will be worth $25.00 and will be from local stores, department stores, markets, food stores, restaurants, or Visa/Mastercard.

Any club or organization at LHS or in the Londonderry community is welcome to donate a gift card(s). Anyone looking to do so should bring their donation to Sullivan by Wednesday, November 9.

Posters, cards, red, white, and blue decorations to “help turn our cafe into a room full of love and thanks” are also welcomed to be donated to Sullivan. Those donations must also be brought to Sullivan Wednesday, November 9.

Sullivan’s Pay it Forward students will also be making personal phone calls to veterans who have attended this event in the past.

If you have a veteran in mind who you would like the Pay it Forward students to make a phone call to and invite to the breakfast, please contact Sullivan at [email protected] with the veteran’s name and phone number.
