Lily- Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher
In a time where trendy, expensive drinks are the norm, Dunkin’s Strawberry Dragonfruit refresher allows you to get a flavorful drink without emptying your wallet. Although Starbucks might get more hype, Dunkin’s refresher is never stingy with the amount of lemonade, strawberry base, and ice they put in the cup. Dunkin’s underrated drink is always a reliable choice.
To start, Dunkin’s refresher is always the perfect color. Whether you get it with lemonade, green tea, or water, it always looks and tastes great. Ordering a Strawberry Acai is like a coin toss every time. Even though it can be a good color depending on the day, you shouldn’t have to wonder if your drink will taste good after spending $7 on it. Dunkin’s is also a lot sweeter which I like. But, there are a bunch of different options of what you can add in to your refresher which makes it more customizable compared to Starbucks berries that ruin the drink.
Price is another major win for Dunkin. From their deals and rewards that are easy to obtain to their low drink prices in general, Dunkin is more affordable without compromising taste or size. Deals like Dunkin’s $3 medium refreshers are almost unheard of at Starbucks with their new CEO. You get more drink for your dollar and it’s just as refreshing, if not more.
Dunkin workers are always on their game when it comes to making refreshers. If it’s before school or an afternoon stop with friends, those drinks come out quickly. I have never had to wait at a Dunkin’s mobile order pickup unlike Starbucks. The drive-thru always moves pretty fast too, even if the line is long.
Overall, the Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher at Dunkin deserves more credit. It is the obvious choice when you want a refreshing drink for a great price. Skip the acai and go for strawberry dragonfruit.
Hanna- Strawberry Acai Refresher
Although I think both are solid drinks, Starbucks Strawberry Acai Refreshers are better to me.
In general I don’t usually have a lot of energy drinks because they sometimes make me shake or give me anxiety, so since they have less caffeine that’s a bonus. Even though I like the Dunkins refreshers they make me have those feelings compared to Starbucks not causing that to happen.
Another thing is the color. In my opinion they never can be a bad color as there are no ingredients that would make it weird looking like the green tea in the Dunkins refreshers.
Yes, Starbucks is more expensive compared to Dunkin’s but they have deals if you have the app occasionally or if you have enough points you could get it for a cheaper price.
There are also more size options. If you feel like you need just a little pick me up you can get a tall or grande. Or if you are feeling crazy you could get a venti or trenta. This is compared to the three options of sizes Dunkin has (small, medium, or large.)
In addition to the sizes the add-in possibilities are endless. From syrups, freeze-dried fruit, juices or milk, you can personalize the drink to your liking.
I also feel like I’ve never had a bad Starbucks refresher. It’s hard to screw up, and I feel like I’ve had mediocre Dunkin’s refreshers before as they can taste bland or sour if not made right.
Overall, like I said they are both enjoyable, but Starbucks Strawberry Acai Refresher takes the win for me.
