Miss Kingston’s Teen, freshman Aria Bound, is currently fundraising for future Miss America’s Teen events. As the founder of her community service initiative, “A Little Kindness Can Change the World,” Bound visits elementary schools and child-based community groups, where she talks about what it means to be a part of the community and what she does to make the world around her a little bit kinder.
When involved with the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, title holders must give back to the organizations that the program supports during the term.

In order to hone in her creative personality, Bound decided to craft her own bracelets in order to raise money for the American Heart Association.
“With the help of these bracelets, I’m hoping that I can reach my goal,” Bound said.
All funds that Bound raises from her bracelet sale will go to the American Heart Association. Bound explained that “selling these bracelets helps inspire people locally to be kind. Small acts can make big differences.”
Each local and state title holder has their own community service initiative and are all focusing their current fundraising on the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women.
According to Bound’s SportFund, the “American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women has joined forces with Miss America’s Scholarship Foundation to raise both research dollars AND tuition scholarships, ensuring a healthier, smarter future for women in America.”
In connection with the American Heart Association, each title holder is responsible to fundraise through events they host and attend. Bound is still deciding on final fundraisers for the last remaining months of her term.
“I think it’s important for titleholders to raise money and not just attend events, because our crowns and sashes aren’t just sparkly accessories we decided to get one day,” Bound said. “They represent hard work and dedication.”
