Mr. LHS 2026, Jake Birch, reflects on the dedication of the Lancer Spirit staff after winning the title. This event is the publication’s biggest fundraiser, where all the members of staff contribute in their own ways. The Mr. LHS show is entirely a student production from both the journalism classes and participants, who collaborate to put on a successful schoolwide event.

This is Grace McElroy’s second year on staff and first year on the editorial board. This year, she takes the role of multimedia editor. Grace loves finding the perfect angle for her videos and watching stories come to life. Outside of writing, Grace enjoys surfing, playing guitar, traveling and spending time with friends.
