The class of 2027 has an opportunity to get a head start on the college application process. Staff from the English department and the school counseling office are holding workshops to help rising seniors through this process.

Starting on April 2, the first session of the Junior College Workshop Series, “Building a College List,” will take place during E period in room 221. These registrations are now closed.

The second session, “Common App & Updating Naviance,” will take place on April 9, during E period. In this session, students will have the opportunity to learn how to set up their Common App applications and understand what they should check off before senior year.

Attending this session can help students get ahead of submission deadlines while also having the opportunity to ask questions.

The final session of the Junior College Workshop Series, “Essay Topic Brainstorming & Resume Updating,” will occur on April 14 during G period.

Juniors are allowed to attend any and all sessions, but pre-registration is required. Students are advised to check their school emails and Google Classroom for registration links.

Absences are excused from credit-bearing classes, although all juniors are responsible for any missed classwork.

More information to come on how school counseling will offer support throughout the first college search process.
