Photo Gallery: Highlights from winter pep rally 2016

In light of the winter sports season, students and staff of Londonderry High School gathered in the gymnasium on Fri. Jan. 29, to commend winter athletes on a season of good sportsmanship and devotion to their teams.

Junior Lexy Freire kicked off the pep rally with the national anthem, followed by junior Julia Fitzgibbons singing the school fight song.

Dana Mendes, a cancer patient from Merrimack, was honored with a wig on behalf of LHS during the pep rally, accompanied by her mother and her former field hockey coach, Mrs. MacLean.

The LHS Marching Band performed two pep tunes, including “Vehicle,” a favorite among band members.

Seniors Duncan van Etten and Mike Weisse spoke about the boy’s swim season this year, mentioning their senior night on Fri. Jan., 29.

Senior Tim McEacharn spoke for Unified Basketball on their remarkable season so far.

Sophomore Matt Corey, junior Cam MacDonald, and senior Nate Gaw shared details about their basketball season.

Sophomore Matt Corey took it upon himself to bring the next celebrity to an LHS pep rally (following Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth) and pulled Larry the Lobster from his backpack, proceeding to walk him across the gym.

The Lancer Dancers’ performed another original routine for the student body during Friday’s pep rally.

ALC adviser Mrs. Rich informed students about the impending Penguin Plunge, encouraging anyone interested to attend the event.

Senior Mikhala Bornstein, “Baton Girl,” performed for the last time as a solo performer.

Seniors Jessi Pignone and Jill McIntire talk about the gymnastics teams’ accomplishments during the winter season.

Senior Mahdi Achab and senior Caleb Moscoso talk to LHS about their successful wrestling season.

Senior Hayley Peters enlightens LHS on upcoming opportunities to fundraise for the Make a Wish foundation.

LHS honors beloved custodian Tina. Tina has donated her hair four times, and received a rose and a tote bag.

Senior Andrea Wooldridge speaks on behalf of the girl’s track team.

Seniors Nick Donnelly and Colby Austin represent the varsity hockey team, and share a funny story about a team bonding experience

Junior Emily Buttafuoco and senior Kayla Lovy talk about the girl’s swim season.

Senior Emily Crouse was asked to prom in front of the entire student body, receiving a tiara and a white rose.
