Fashion Friday: Jack Drabik

This Fashion Friday, we highlight junior Jack Drabik’s personal style and some of his outfits from this week.

Drabik describes his style as “simple and always changing.”

“I’m not the type to wear the same thing twice in a week,” Drabik said.

Drabik’s fashion inspiration comes from popular TikTok influencer, Marshall Crews

“He has a pretty big following on TikTok, and I’m a big fan of his oversized, gym inspired outfits,” Drabik said.

To find pieces to fit his aesthetic, Drabik shops at thrift stores as well as on resale streetwear shops such as, Depop and Grailed

“When I go thrifting I’m looking for vintage tees,” Drabik said. “Vintage Nike tees are always a good find, plus if you find something rare, you can flip it on Grailed or Depop.”

Drabik describes his favorite fashion trends as the “Tiktok new wave of fashion.”

“For a while it was kind of frowned upon to buy cheap clothes, out of fear of being called ‘broke’ or ‘bummy’, but now it’s almost weird not to,” Drabik said.

One of Drabik’s least favorite styles of clothing is monochromatic gray outfits, also known as “groufits”

“I think they’re just overall ugly,” Drabik said. “You should always split up your outfits and monochromatic outfits can make you look shorter.”

For others trying to develop their own personal style, Drabik suggests, “wear clothes that fit your body type and don’t wear monochromatic outfits.”

“The most important part of having good style is really just wearing what you wear with pride,” Drabik said. “Don’t listen to what anyone says, wear what you think is cool.”
