As the tradition of Mr. LHS has continued, nine boys hit the stage with dashing suits, hair for days and swaggy dance moves. With a buzzing crowd and high energy acts, only one came out a winner and that is Blake Thompson, your 2025 Mr. LHS.
Thompson took the floor on the night of Thurs April 24 and won the hearts of the judges, audience, and his prom date by performing “Baby” by Justin Bieber, along with a dating show to go with it.

The whole process from the dance to the act was something Thompson enjoyed. As it was more about fun rather than winning.
“It really did feel amazing to win, honestly when we were going into it wasn’t even the part of winning, it was just so fun to be with the guys,” Thompson said. “Obviously it was a great turn out and it was fun.”
In addition to the rehearsals the week of the show, the boys had two rehearsals to learn the group dance. It came with multiple hours of dancing in and out of rehearsals, but even with all of that it was Thompson’s favorite part.
“I loved the group dance and the dancers helped out a lot,” Thompson said. “I know a lot of us are really uncoordinated but it was just a really fun time, also getting Dunkins in the morning during five hour rehearsals.”
After the show, and celebratory Applebee’s, the next day at school was a lot for Thompson, since he had to wake up early and prep to run the pep rally later that morning.

“Evan [another contestant] and I had to battle through and wake up for A period to go run the pep rally, it was definitely tiring but worth it,” Thompson said.
Thompson enjoyed everything about the process. There were bonds made, and enough smiles to go around.
“I loved being on stage with everyone,” Thompson said. “Everyone was laughing and having a good time. It just felt so worth our time with all the work we put into it.”
