Long after the bell rings to declare the end of the school day, the halls are still bustling with activity. The PVC Pirates utilize this time to meet and test their latest robotic models, sometimes finishing these meetings around 10 p.m.
This year the PVC Pirates, also known as FRC Team 1058, recently had the opportunity to attend the World Championship in Houston, Texas, where they won. In May of 2024, they pushed their way into the Einstein Division.
According to the team captain, senior Parker Girard, anyone interested in being a part of the robotics team can join. There are “no requirements” to attend, the team seeks out positive individuals and people who want to build fun machines.
Join News Chief Kelsey Sweet as she interviews seniors on the team about future events, and everything they have to offer.
