When the freshman world studies students hiked up Mt. Kearsage on Oct. 27—the fifth time world studies classes have made this trek with English teacher Mr. McCune and history teacher Mr. Nalezinski—McCune hoped it would give them the opportunity to “think about the process rather than the end goal.”
McCune said because students have to focus on each step on this steep climb, it forces them to think on what is happening as it happens with themselves, their classmates and their teachers.
“You can always just walk up a mountain,” Mr. McCune said, “but the experience changes with the company.”
