Blue Star Lancers launch their Purple-Up campaign
Blue Star Lancers launch their Purple-Up campaign in support of LHS military families and troops.
To help raise awareness of the challenges faced by military children, the Blue Star Lancers of LHS are participating in Purple-Up! Month.
As part of their campaign, the Blue Star Lancers ask Lancers to wear purple on Friday, April 14th so that Lancer Nation can show LHS’s military children-the Purple Star Lancers- how much we as a community appreciate the sacrifices their parents make for our country.
Through Monday, April 10 to Friday, April 14, the Blue Star Lancers will hold their annual purple-ribbon campaign. To obtain a purple ribbon in support of the Purple Star Lancers, all you need to do is a make a spare-change donation of any kind. All proceeds from this campaign go to support the following Blue Star Lancer and Purple Star Lancer activities:
- Blue Star Bundles- honors graduating seniors heading to serve our country either by directly enlisting or going to a military academy of ROTC program
- spring/fall updates of the Lancer Military Memorial Garden (just off LHS lobby)
- Veteran’s Day Baskets
- Care Packages to Troops
- Operation Uplift (t-shirts for Purple Stars)
Please consider donating in support of our military families and troops!
