We all know the struggles of quarantine at this point. Quarantine has been pretty difficult for everyone, and people are getting tired of listening to the same music over and over again. I have some good news for you! To brighten your day up, even if it’s just a little, here are fifteen songs that describe quarantine.

#1) “It’s Been Awhile” by Staind

By the end of this quarantine, I’m sure we will all say this exact line to our friends, family, and any other person outside of our houses. Or maybe even the sun, if you haven’t gone outside at all (like me).

#2) “Alone Again (Naturally)” by Gilbert O’Sullivan

This brings me back to the good ol’ days when I would sit in my house and do nothing by myself. Although it’s hard to avoid isolating yourself and feeling alone, just remember you have millions of people that understand you. You aren’t alone in this!

#3) “All By Myself” by Celine Dion

The title says it all. While we are all experiencing quarantine, it’s become a habit for many people to isolate themselves. Always remember, don’t isolate! Keep in contact with friends and family, whether it’s through Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, or just texting!

#4) “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence

Most of us are having a hard time getting motivated to do anything since the quarantine began. I’ve become a gremlin, staying comfortable in my room. I need something to bring me to life!

#5) “I’m Just A Kid” by Simple Plan

“I’m just a kid and life is a nightmare.” That’s a pretty accurate line for kids these days. Living through a pandemic is pretty scary for anyone. We’re just kids, and all of this is scary, but you know what? We’re gonna get through this by working together!

#6) “When It’s Over” by Sugar Ray

This laidback song gives hope to those who need it. It’s never failed to brighten up my mood. We’ll make it through, and when this is all over, we can see loved ones and finally go out somewhere. Whether that’s back to work, back to school, visiting someone, etc., it will happen! As the title implies, there will be an end to this, and we’ll all be okay!

#7) “Here Without You” by 3 Doors Down

This is mainly directed towards the couples, but if you miss your dog who’s living with your sister like I do, this also applies. If you’re following the rules of quarantine, then you can relate to this. If you’re not following them, well, then that’s not very smart.

#8) “Livin’ On The Edge” by Aerosmith

At this point in time, we are all livin’ on the edge. Going out on a walk? Eek! That’s pretty dangerous. Always remember to wash your hands and keep a six-foot distance from people!

#9) “Dancing With Myself” by Billy Idol

Now that we’re all in quarantine, that means we have a lot of time to ourselves. Whether you have a big or small family, sometimes you just need a you-moment. Grab some headphones or a speaker, play this song and dance with yourself.

#10) “You Are Not Alone” by Michael Jackson

I’d say this is pretty fitting. These are very tough times for everyone, but always remember there are other people that you can reach out to. You’re not alone in this! As they put it in High School Musical, we’re all in this together.

#11) “I Miss You” by Blink-182

Once again, to all the couples out there or others, you probably miss that person. No fear, you’ll be able to see them again in no time! Have faith and just follow the rules of quarantine. All will be okay!

#12) “Come Out And Play” by The Offspring

You know what the first line of this song is? “You gotta keep ‘em separated.” Who knew that one line of a song could be the guide to survival these days? Other than the irony, this song is a good one to rock out to. If you need to blast some good punk-rock music, Offspring is a good band to go to (one of my personal favorites in this list).

#13) “Through Glass” by Stone Sour

I hope you’d all be looking through the glass if you go to visit someone. And if you do, wipe down the glass before and after! The lyrics are also pretty accurate on what a lot of us are feeling right now. This song is pretty powerful.

#14) “Show Me How To Live” by Audioslave

When things get resolved (which they will), we’ll all be stuck in our own ways from sitting inside. We won’t know what to do when going back to school and having all those responsibilities back. Show me how to live, please!

#15) “Wake Me Up When September Ends” by Green Day

You may be asking yourself, ‘Why did you choose this song? It’s not even the right month’. Consider this: replace every “September” in the song to “quarantine.” Wake me up when quarantine ends. I’d say that’s pretty accurate. And it’s a really good song anyway, so if you haven’t yet, give it a listen!

There are a ton of songs out there that I’m sure could fit better, but this is my own interpretation of what describes quarantine. If you’re feeling bored, making your own little playlist could be fun! It’ll give you something to do, and it could make you a little bit happier. Always remember, wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, stay six feet apart, stay clean and, most importantly, remember you’re not alone.

Give the playlist a listen!

I think the song “I don’t like” by Chief Keef because during July when people started to go crazy people started to not like it, so dis song is where it at.

i think the song wake me up when September ends fits but replace September with quarantine because quarantine was very boring.
